With brown sugar, maple syrup, onion, mustard & bacon or ham, this could be a new family favourite…
2 x 410g (14oz) cans beans in tomato sauce
60g (2oz) brown sugar
1 small onion
1 bay leaf
60ml (4tbsp) maple syrup
10ml ( 2tsp)Dijon mustard
30ml (2 tbsp) tomato paste
4 rashers bacon or thick country ham, chopped
Rosemary to garnish
Place beans in a fry pan, cook on medium heat. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Close the lid and cook for another 30 minutes, or until cooked.
